mojacar

Mojacar is an ancient village perched on the lower slopes of the Sierra Cabrera mountains, overlooking the Mediterranean coastline of the Costa del Almería. It has been inhabited by many different cultures. It is currently a popular Mediterranean tourist resort, and the surrounding towns and villages offer much more.

Mojacar village is visible from afar due to its whitewashed houses stacked one on top of the other. With its twisting cobbles streets, winding steps and arches it is an interesting village to visit. Around every corner there is something to discover be it a bar, restaurant or gift shop.

villaricos

Villaricos is a quiet Spanish fishing village just 15 minutes from Mojacar. With one marina, and the fishing port where boats still come in and out of. You will find it relaxing and friendly.

vera

Vera is an attractive market town. The old part of the town has seen a lot of restoration. With its narrow streets, small squares and hidden restuarants it is a quiet and pleasent environment. Close to two golf courses of Valle del Este and Desert Springs, also nearby you can find horse riding, an aqua park and miles of sandy beaches.

garrucha

Garrucha is a beautiful fishing port that still has many of its original charms. It has a great selection of bars and resturants many of them serving excellent seafood. A palm tree lined promenade with white marble balustrade spans the lenght of the town. There are landscaped areas with benches to sit and relax whilst looking out over the Mediterranean sea, there are also play areas for the children.

cuevas almanzora

Cuevas del Almanzora was a mining town during the last century and because of this there are grand houses and remains of prosperity that once was. Another interesting feature of the town are the cave houses that still remain and are well worth a visit. New gold developments are situated nearby and only a short drive away are beaches making it an ideal location. Good road links make everywhere easily accessable.

almeria

Almería province is the most easterly province and holds the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. The town of Almería is just 98 kilometers from Mojacar, Vera area, and has its own airport and railway station. You will find many places of interest in the city, the castle, the cathedral, the port, etc and a good selection of shops.
